Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to optimize their existing product pages with social proof, urgency cues, and other conversion-boosting elements, Buy Box: Product Page Blocks is the stronger choice. Its seamless integration with 2.0 themes also makes it easy to implement. However, if a business prioritizes a quick and easy purchasing process, particularly for sales outside of the traditional online store (e.g., social media, offline events, restaurants), Direct ‑ Checkout Links & QR provides a far more suitable solution. Its ability to generate direct checkout links and QR codes is invaluable for those scenarios.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving conversion rates?
Both apps aim to improve conversion rates but in different ways. Buy Box focuses on optimizing the product page to increase conversions, while Direct ‑ Checkout Links & QR aims to reduce friction in the checkout process, potentially leading to higher conversion rates, especially in specific contexts like social media or offline sales.
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim ease of use. Buy Box highlights seamless integration with 2.0 themes in the theme editor. Can I use both apps together?
While technically possible, it might be redundant. Using both apps might clutter the customer journey and create a confusing experience. It's best to identify your primary need (product page optimization vs. direct checkout) and choose the app that aligns with that need.

Direct ‑ Checkout Links & QR is significantly more suitable for social media marketing. The ability to generate direct checkout links for social media posts allows customers to quickly purchase products without navigating through the entire website.
Which app is more suitable for a brick-and-mortar store?
Direct ‑ Checkout Links & QR has potential uses for brick-and-mortar stores through the QR code functionality. Customers can scan a QR code to quickly purchase an item.
