Brands Directory Section 2.0 vs Floatify: Social & CTA Buttonsfor Shopify (2026)
Brands Directory Section 2.0 and Floatify: Social & CTA Buttons are Shopify apps targeting different aspects of store optimization, despite both being categorized under 'Search and navigation'. Brands Directory Section 2.0 aims to enhance navigation by offering a dedicated brands directory, enabling customers to easily browse products by vendor. Its primary selling point is ease of use with no coding required, automatically listing brands and linking to their vendor pages. It appears to be positioned for stores with a large catalog of products from multiple brands. Floatify, in contrast, focuses on improving customer engagement and driving sales through strategically placed floating CTA and social buttons. Floatify's strength lies in its array of communication and action-oriented features, including WhatsApp live chat, call buttons, and social media links. It prioritizes immediate customer interaction and conversion. Given the higher rating and substantial number of reviews, Floatify seems to offer a more established and reliable solution for merchants looking to boost conversions through improved accessibility and communication. Brands Directory Section 2.0 might appeal to stores specifically needing a brand-focused navigation enhancement, but the lack of reviews and rating is concerning.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing a dedicated brand directory with simple, automatic listing and customization, Brands Directory Section 2.0 is the only option of these two. However, due to the lack of reviews and zero rating, it represents a riskier choice. Merchants prioritizing customer engagement, immediate communication, and boosted sales are better served by Floatify: Social & CTA Buttons. Floatify's strong rating, numerous reviews, and variety of features make it a more reliable and potentially more effective solution for most Shopify store owners in 2026. The brand directory is a specific use case; Floatify addresses broader e-commerce needs.
