Our Verdict
If your goal is to create deeply personal connections with new customers and you have the resources to create individual videos, Bonjoro: Thank You Videos is the better choice. Its strength is in creating a memorable, positive first impression that can lead to increased loyalty. The low review count suggests it may be a newer app or target a niche market. However, if you're looking for a comprehensive, scalable, and largely automated loyalty program with various features like points, rewards, VIP tiers, and referral programs, then Love Loyalty Program & Rewards is the stronger option. The significantly higher number of reviews indicates broader adoption and likely a more mature feature set. It allows for creating an entire loyalty ecosystem.
Common Questions
What kind of businesses are each app best suited for?
Bonjoro is best for businesses that value personal touch and want to create memorable first impressions, such as high-end or artisan businesses. Love Loyalty Program & Rewards is better suited for businesses that value automation and seek a comprehensive loyalty program with multiple facets, making it ideal for larger stores or those looking to scale their customer retention efforts.
Is one of the apps easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Bonjoro's set up appears relatively simple, focusing on integrating with Shopify and recording videos. Love Loyalty Program & Rewards, given its comprehensive features, likely requires a more involved setup process to configure the various loyalty program elements like points, rewards, and VIP tiers. Both apps likely have detailed setup instructions, but ease of use will depend on the merchant's technical comfort.
Which app is more focused on acquiring new customers vs. retaining existing ones?
Bonjoro is more focused on converting new customers into loyal fans through personalized thank-you videos, creating a positive first impression. Love Loyalty Program & Rewards primarily targets existing customers, encouraging repeat purchases through loyalty points, rewards, and VIP tiers, although the referral feature does contribute to new customer acquisition.
Which app provides the best value for money?
The 'value' depends on the merchant's needs. If personalized videos are central to the brand strategy, Bonjoro offers high value by directly building customer relationships. If the business requires a full loyalty program with many features, then Love Loyalty Program & Rewards offers more value. Without specific pricing information, it's impossible to determine which offers the 'best' value for money in a general sense.
What integrations do each offer?
Both apps integrate with Shopify. Bonjoro also integrates with iOS and Android via their mobile apps, allowing for videos to be recorded on the go. Love Loyalty Program & Rewards has POS support so it integrates with physical stores as well. Love Loyalty Program & Rewards also mentions integrations that would enable migrations from LoyaltyLion, Smile, and Yotpo.
