BON Loyalty Rewards Program vs Shopney ‑ Mobile App Builderfor Shopify (2026)
BON Loyalty Rewards Program and Shopney - Mobile App Builder both aim to enhance customer retention, but they approach it from drastically different angles. BON Loyalty focuses on creating a comprehensive loyalty program directly within the existing Shopify store through points, VIP tiers, and referrals. It caters to merchants seeking to boost repeat purchases and customer lifetime value by rewarding loyal customers. Shopney, on the other hand, concentrates on building a dedicated mobile app for the Shopify store. Its goal is to enhance the shopping experience through a smoother, faster interface, personalized interactions via in-app chat, and push notifications. The primary difference lies in their core functionality. BON Loyalty enhances the existing online store experience with loyalty perks, while Shopney creates a separate mobile app experience. BON Loyalty boasts a higher number of reviews (1519) compared to Shopney (684), indicating a potentially larger user base and longer market presence. However, Shopney holds a perfect 5/5 rating, slightly edging out BON Loyalty's 4.9/5, suggesting possibly higher levels of user satisfaction amongst its users, although with a smaller sample size. The choice between the two depends heavily on the merchant's overall strategy for customer retention: augmenting the current website experience, or building a separate mobile app presence.

Our Verdict
If a merchant is looking to improve customer retention and loyalty *within* their existing online store and potentially their physical store via POS, BON Loyalty Rewards Program is the better choice. Its points-based system, VIP tiers, and referral programs offer a direct and measurable way to incentivize repeat purchases and reward customer loyalty. The B2B loyalty program support is a significant advantage for wholesale businesses.
However, if the goal is to offer a dedicated, streamlined mobile shopping experience and reduce reliance on social media ads, Shopney - Mobile App Builder is the more suitable option. The one-click app building and integration with other Shopify apps allow merchants to create a personalized mobile experience, engage users with push notifications, and potentially increase conversion rates among mobile shoppers. The merchant needs to evaluate if the benefits of a mobile app justifies the costs and efforts. They may both be suitable and even complementary to each other depending on business needs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to offer quick and easy setup. BON Loyalty states 'Launch your customer loyalty point program in just minutes', while Shopney boasts a 'one-click' app build. Actual ease of use may vary depending on the store's complexity and the merchant's technical expertise.
Which app is better for B2B businesses?
BON Loyalty Rewards Program explicitly supports B2B loyalty programs with exclusive tiered rewards. Shopney's description does not mention specific B2B features.
Can both apps be used together?
Yes, they can. A merchant could use BON Loyalty to reward customers for purchases made both on the website and within the mobile app built with Shopney. This would require ensuring the loyalty program integrates properly with the Shopney app.
Which app is more focused on marketing automation?
Shopney is more directly focused on marketing automation through its unlimited push notification capabilities, allowing merchants to engage customers with relevant messages at the right time. While BON Loyalty can indirectly contribute to marketing automation (e.g., automated emails about points earned), it's not its primary focus.
Which app requires more design skills to implement effectively?
Shopney potentially requires more design consideration for the app layout and user interface, though it offers theme options to simplify the process. BON Loyalty focuses more on configuring the loyalty program rules and rewards, and less on designing a completely new interface, because the loyalty perks augment the design of the existing store.
