Our Verdict
Based on current data, Sherpas: Smart SEO is the safer recommendation for most Shopify merchants in 2026. The overwhelmingly positive user reviews and focus on foundational SEO elements like page speed and meta tags make it a reliable choice. BlogSEO: AI Blog & AI SEO App, while promising in its content generation capabilities, suffers from a critically low rating and minimal user feedback.
BlogSEO might be suitable for merchants specifically needing a tool to automate blog content creation, but the risk associated with its poor rating needs careful consideration. Merchants seeking reliable and comprehensive SEO tools with a proven track record should opt for Sherpas. The integration of ChatGPT-4 Turbo for meta tag generation further solidifies Sherpas' advantage in leveraging AI for established SEO best practices.
Common Questions
Which app is better for generating blog content?
BlogSEO is specifically designed for AI-powered blog content generation and keyword research, making it the primary choice for that specific function, despite the user rating concerns. Sherpas focuses on optimizing existing content and website structure for search engines.
Which app is easier to use for someone new to SEO?
Both apps claim to simplify SEO, but Sherpas, with its high rating and focus on automating mundane tasks, is likely the easier choice for beginners. However, individual experiences may vary.
Which app offers better value for money?
Without pricing information, it's impossible to definitively say. However, Sherpas' strong rating suggests users perceive it as offering good value. BlogSEO's value is questionable due to the low rating.
Which app uses AI more effectively?
Both apps utilize AI. BlogSEO uses it for content generation and keyword research, while Sherpas employs ChatGPT-4 Turbo for meta tag optimization. The effectiveness depends on the user's primary need. Sherpas utilizes a later version of GPT, which might provide better results for text generation.
What should I consider before choosing BlogSEO?
Carefully consider the extremely low user rating and limited reviews before choosing BlogSEO. Research the specific reasons for the negative feedback and determine if those issues are deal-breakers for your store. A trial period, if offered, is crucial.
