Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing a superior user experience and simplified content navigation for their blog, Blog Filter & Search PRO is the recommended application. Its focus on filtering and searching enhances discoverability for readers, particularly valuable for blogs with a substantial content library. In contrast, EZ Internal Linking Assistant is better suited for merchants with a strong focus on SEO and wish to automate their internal linking strategy to improve their website's crawlability and organic search rankings. The fewer reviews suggest it might be newer or more niche, so investigate its features more closely if this is your focus. Ultimately, the choice hinges on whether content discovery or SEO is the primary driver for blog optimization.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Without direct experience, the ease of use is difficult to compare. Fewer features typically translate to simpler setup. EZ Internal Linking Assistant might offer a more straightforward initial configuration if it automates the linking process significantly. Look for trial periods and setup documentation to get a better sense.
Which app is more important for improving SEO?
EZ Internal Linking Assistant directly addresses SEO by focusing on internal linking, a crucial element for search engine rankings. While Blog Filter & Search PRO can indirectly improve SEO by reducing bounce rates and increasing time on site, EZ Internal Linking Assistant is the more direct choice for SEO improvement.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, these apps address separate aspects of blog optimization. Blog Filter & Search PRO enhances the user experience, while EZ Internal Linking Assistant optimizes SEO. Using them together can create a well-rounded approach to blog management.
Which app is more suitable for a beginner blogger?
Blog Filter & Search PRO may be a better starting point for beginner bloggers because it addresses a more immediate and tangible need: helping readers find content. SEO is important but can be overwhelming for beginners, so focusing on user experience first is often a more manageable approach.
What happens if an internal link in EZ Internal Linking Assistant breaks?
The app's documentation should address broken link management. Ideally, it offers a reporting feature to identify broken internal links and provides tools to update or remove them efficiently. Check for these features before committing.
