BL Story Style Highlight Menu vs Flair Product Badges + Labelsfor Shopify (2026)
BL Story Style Highlight Menu and Flair Product Badges + Labels both fall under the 'Badges and icons' category on Shopify, but they serve very different purposes, and their user reception is drastically different. BL Story Style Highlight Menu seems focused on presenting content in a story-like, highlight format, likely inspired by social media platforms. Flair Product Badges + Labels, on the other hand, is designed to visually enhance product listings with badges and labels, drawing attention to specific product attributes or promotions. The primary differentiator lies in their core function. One enhances navigation/content display, the other visually augments product listings to drive sales. Given the overwhelming disparity in user ratings and review volume, Flair Product Badges + Labels appears to be a much more established and well-received solution. BL Story Style Highlight Menu, with its extremely low rating and minimal reviews, presents a much riskier proposition for merchants. The target audiences are also different; the former likely targets stores who want to show badges or icons, and the latter likely targets stores that want to use story highlights.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Flair Product Badges + Labels is the significantly safer and more recommended option for most Shopify merchants in 2026. The overwhelmingly positive rating and large number of reviews indicate a reliable and effective app. While BL Story Style Highlight Menu might offer a unique approach to store navigation, the abysmal rating and lack of reviews make it a risky choice.
Merchants primarily focused on improving product visibility and sales through badges and labels should definitively choose Flair Product Badges + Labels. Only merchants with a very specific need for a story-style highlight menu, and a willingness to potentially deal with bugs or a poor user experience, should consider BL Story Style Highlight Menu. Even then, thoroughly researching and testing the app is crucial.
