Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on selling digital products, BIG Digital Downloads Products is the clear choice. Its features are specifically designed to handle digital asset management, delivery, and licensing. Its high number of positive reviews suggests a reliable and user-friendly experience. OrderSplit Pro - Split Orders is ideal for larger operations or those with complex fulfillment workflows. While both apps are well-rated, their applications are niche and distinct.
Common Questions
Can BIG Digital Downloads Products be used to sell physical products?
BIG Digital Downloads Products is primarily designed for digital products. While you *could* potentially include digital attachments to physical products, its core features are not optimized for physical inventory management or shipping.
Does OrderSplit Pro ‑ Split Orders support splitting orders based on customer location?
The description highlights splitting based on fulfillment location. Splitting directly on customer location is not explicitly mentioned but might be possible through customization or integration with other apps.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
BIG Digital Downloads Products is likely easier for beginners because it focuses on a more straightforward process: uploading digital files and delivering them after purchase. OrderSplit Pro - Split Orders involves configuring complex rules for order splitting, which may require more technical expertise.
Are both apps suitable for small Shopify stores?
BIG Digital Downloads Products can be used by stores of any size selling digital products. OrderSplit Pro - Split Orders is generally more beneficial for larger stores with complex fulfillment operations where manual order splitting becomes time-consuming and prone to errors.
Can these apps be used together?
Potentially, but not directly. If a store sells both digital and physical products and needs to split orders based on fulfillment location *and* wants to automate the delivery of digital files, both apps could be useful. However, they operate independently and would require careful integration considerations within the store's overall workflow.
