Our Verdict
For merchants whose primary business model involves selling digital files (ebooks, software, license keys), BIG Digital Downloads Products is the clear choice. It provides all the necessary tools to manage and distribute these assets efficiently. On the other hand, Meety: Appointment Booking App is ideal for businesses that rely on scheduled appointments for services or events. Its scheduling features and integrations provide a seamless booking experience for both the business and its customers. If a merchant sells both digital products and services requiring appointments, they may need to integrate these applications or consider alternative all-in-one solutions if those become available by 2026.
Common Questions
Can BIG Digital Downloads Products handle recurring digital product subscriptions?
Based on the provided description, BIG Digital Downloads Products focuses on one-time sales of digital products. It does not explicitly mention support for recurring subscriptions.
Does Meety: Appointment Booking App support the sale of digital products alongside appointments?
Meety focuses on appointment scheduling. While you might be able to integrate it with a separate product selling functionality, it does not inherently support the sale of digital products.
Which app offers better protection against unauthorized downloads?
BIG Digital Downloads Products allows limiting download times and counts, offering some protection. Meety does not address unauthorized downloads as it focuses on booking.
Is it possible to use both apps together?
Yes, it's possible. A merchant could use BIG Digital Downloads Products to sell a digital product, like a course workbook, and use Meety to schedule consultation appointments related to that course. However, they would not be directly integrated.
Which app is easier to set up for a non-technical user?
Without user interface or user experience data, it's difficult to say definitively. However, Meety's focus on scheduling with common calendar integrations might be perceived as slightly more complex to initially set up than BIG Digital Downloads Products' straightforward digital file delivery system.
