BGN EUR Dual Currency Display and Polydata ‑ Translate by sku are both Shopify apps that fall under the 'Currency and translation' category, but they address vastly different needs. Our Verdict
The choice between these two apps is highly dependent on the specific needs of the merchant. If a merchant solely requires the ability to display prices in both BGN and EUR, the BGN EUR Dual Currency Display app is the clear winner due to its simplicity and ease of use. It's a focused solution for a very specific need.
However, for merchants selling internationally and requiring comprehensive translation capabilities across their entire store, Polydata ‑ Translate by sku is the more suitable option. While it may require more initial setup, its automated workflows and customizable rules offer significant long-term benefits in terms of time savings and maintaining brand consistency across multiple languages. If a merchant only sells within Bulgaria and the Eurozone, the Polydata app is likely overkill. Conversely, if the BGN/EUR currency needs are met, but other currencies exist, a solution like Polydata, customized for currencies, might be appropriate.
