BGN EUR Dual Currency Display vs Currency Converter Bearfor Shopify (2026)
BGN EUR Dual Currency Display and Currency Converter Bear both aim to improve the customer experience by addressing currency presentation, but cater to different needs. BGN EUR Dual Currency Display focuses solely on displaying prices in both Bulgarian Lev (BGN) and Euro (EUR), offering a simple, one-click setup. Its strength lies in its focused functionality and ease of use for merchants operating specifically within Bulgaria or targeting Bulgarian customers. Currency Converter Bear, on the other hand, is a comprehensive multi-currency solution that automatically displays prices in a customer's local currency based on their geo-location. It integrates with Shopify Markets and provides extensive customization options for design and price rounding. The crucial difference lies in their scope. BGN EUR Dual Currency Display addresses a very specific currency pairing need, while Currency Converter Bear aims to handle a global customer base with varying currency preferences. While both apps boast a perfect 5/5 rating, Currency Converter Bear has significantly more reviews (109) compared to BGN EUR Dual Currency Display (16), suggesting broader adoption. Currency Converter Bear's feature set includes automatic exchange rate updates and integration with Shopify Markets for a seamless checkout experience, functionalities absent from the more narrowly focused BGN EUR Dual Currency Display.

Our Verdict
If a merchant's primary need is to display prices in both Bulgarian Lev and Euro, BGN EUR Dual Currency Display offers a streamlined and straightforward solution. Its one-click setup and lack of ongoing maintenance make it ideal for merchants who value simplicity and don't require multi-currency functionality. However, for merchants selling internationally or planning to expand globally, Currency Converter Bear is the superior choice. Its automatic geo-location-based currency conversion, Shopify Markets integration, and customizable design options provide a more robust and scalable solution for managing multiple currencies and enhancing the international customer experience.
