Our Verdict
BAIS Bulk Account Invites Send is ideal for Shopify merchants who need a straightforward solution to activate a large number of customer accounts, especially if they're migrating customer data or seeking to improve account activation rates among their existing customer base. Its simple tag-based segmentation makes it easy to target specific customer groups.
KwikPass: OTP‑login & Popups is a better fit for merchants primarily focused on attracting new customers, enhancing the onboarding experience, and increasing conversion rates. The use of phone number-based OTP login provides a faster and more secure login process, and the interactive pop-ups are a great way to engage visitors and capture valuable customer data. If the priority is growth, KwikPass is the better choice.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
BAIS is likely easier for basic setup since it leverages existing Shopify email templates and uses tag-based targeting. KwikPass, with its popup customization and engagement features, may require more initial configuration.
Which app offers better customer support?
KwikPass explicitly mentions 24x7 support, suggesting a potentially more robust support system than BAIS, which doesn't specify support hours.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but with caution. BAIS is for account activation, while KwikPass is for simplifying logins for *all* users. Running a bulk account invite (BAIS) *before* activating KwikPass might make sense. However, there could be some overlap in the user experience.
Which app is better for GDPR compliance?
Both apps need to be compliant with GDPR. KwikPass's phone number-based login may require extra attention to data privacy and consent. BAIS should ensure that email invites are sent with explicit consent.
Does BAIS support customized activation emails or branding?
BAIS description indicates it utilizes the email template you already have set up in Shopify - whether that's the easy built-in template or a full custom HTML template.
