Back In Buzz vs Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counterfor Shopify (2026)
Back In Buzz and Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter both address stock management but cater to different merchant needs. Back In Buzz focuses on recovering lost sales by notifying customers when out-of-stock items are replenished. Its strength lies in its simplicity and automation of restock alerts, aiming to re-engage customers who previously showed interest in unavailable products. It targets merchants prioritizing customer retention and recapture of potential sales from out-of-stock items. Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter, on the other hand, emphasizes creating urgency and scarcity to boost immediate sales. It achieves this by visually displaying stock levels, countdown timers, and low stock alerts on product pages. Hey!Scarcity's strength is its ability to influence purchasing decisions through psychological triggers related to limited availability. A key difference is that Back In Buzz deals with out-of-stock items, while Hey!Scarcity focuses on currently available items, particularly those with low stock. The zero rating of Back In Buzz coupled with lack of reviews poses a significant risk for merchants compared to Hey!Scarcity which enjoys a perfect rating with a healthy review count. Our Verdict
For most merchants in 2026, Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter is the safer and likely more effective choice due to its established positive reputation and focus on immediate sales conversion. The social proof of its 5-star rating and numerous reviews significantly reduces the risk associated with trying it. It's ideal if your primary goal is to boost sales by creating a sense of urgency around your existing stock.
Back In Buzz, while promising in theory, carries a much higher risk due to its lack of reviews and unproven track record. It might be a suitable option only for merchants with very specific needs and a willingness to experiment with an unproven app. If the primary focus is on recapturing sales from out-of-stock items and the merchant is comfortable taking a risk, they could consider trying Back In Buzz, but thorough testing and monitoring would be crucial.
