AW Store Locator vs NineDigit eKasafor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and NineDigit eKasa are both Shopify apps targeting merchants who sell in person, but their functionalities and target audiences are vastly different. AW Store Locator focuses on enhancing the customer experience by enabling businesses to easily display and manage multiple physical locations. It prioritizes location discoverability through features like auto-detection and map customization. NineDigit eKasa, on the other hand, is a specialized application designed to comply with Slovakian eKasa regulations, essentially functioning as a digital cash register directly integrated with Shopify. The primary distinction lies in their core purpose. AW Store Locator aims to improve store findability and drive foot traffic to physical locations. NineDigit eKasa addresses specific legal requirements for businesses operating in Slovakia by providing a certified eKasa solution. While both fall under the 'Selling in person' category, they solve entirely different problems for merchants. AW Store Locator is globally applicable for any business with multiple physical locations, whereas NineDigit eKasa is localized and necessary only for Slovakian businesses requiring eKasa compliance.

Our Verdict
The choice between AW Store Locator and NineDigit eKasa depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If a business operates multiple physical locations and seeks to improve store findability for customers, AW Store Locator is the clear choice. Its features like auto-detection and map customization offer tangible benefits in driving foot traffic.
Conversely, if a merchant operates in Slovakia and is legally obligated to comply with eKasa regulations, NineDigit eKasa is a necessity. While its current lack of reviews is a concern, the app's functionality directly addresses a crucial legal requirement. A Slovakian business without eKasa compliance faces significant penalties, making NineDigit eKasa (or a similar compliant solution) non-negotiable. For any other merchant, AW Store Locator is likely the relevant app.
