AW Store Locator vs ClockedInfor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and ClockedIn are both Shopify apps categorized under 'Selling in person', but they address completely different needs. AW Store Locator focuses on enhancing the customer experience by providing a seamless way to find physical store locations, offering features like unlimited store locations, auto-detection, and map customization. Its strength lies in its high rating and larger number of reviews, indicating a positive user experience and established presence. Conversely, ClockedIn aims to streamline internal operations by providing a time management solution for businesses with employees. It focuses on simplifying time tracking through a POS-integrated system with features like bulk user creation and admin time adjustments. The core difference is that AW Store Locator is customer-facing, improving the shopping experience for those seeking physical stores. ClockedIn, on the other hand, is an internal tool designed to improve efficiency and time tracking for employees. AW Store Locator caters to merchants with multiple physical locations or those who sell through dealer networks, while ClockedIn is beneficial for any business with employees who need to track their working hours, particularly those already using Shopify POS.

Our Verdict
If you are a merchant with multiple physical locations or a dealer network and want to improve the customer experience by making it easy for them to find your stores, AW Store Locator is the clear choice. Its high rating and features like auto-detection make it a strong option for driving in-store traffic.
However, if your primary concern is managing employee time and simplifying time tracking, especially if you are already using Shopify POS, then ClockedIn might be suitable. While its rating is lower and has fewer reviews, its integration with Shopify POS and features like bulk user creation are valuable for businesses with employees. Merchants should carefully consider the low rating and limited feedback before adopting ClockedIn.
