Common Questions
Do I need both Avada GDPR and Smile on my Shopify store?
It depends on your business needs. If you operate in a region with GDPR or similar data privacy laws, Avada GDPR is crucial for legal compliance. Smile is beneficial if you want to implement a loyalty program to improve customer retention, but is not legally required.
Can Smile help me with GDPR compliance?
While Smile can help you build customer relationships through consent, it doesn't offer cookie consent banner management or other core GDPR compliance features. Avada GDPR is the dedicated solution for that.
Which app is easier to set up?
Smile is likely easier to set up due to its focus on user-friendliness and visual customization for loyalty programs. Avada GDPR involves configuring legal requirements, which might require more technical understanding.
Which app has better customer support?
Avada GDPR's description explicitly mentions '24/7 SUPPORT' indicating a strong focus on customer assistance. Smile's description doesn't highlight support to the same degree, although a high rating typically suggests positive customer service experiences.
Which app is more important for a new Shopify store?
If the new store is in a region covered by GDPR, Avada GDPR takes priority to avoid legal issues. Otherwise, Smile can be valuable for immediately building customer loyalty and retention.
