AutoScan Retail Barcode Labels vs Bundly • Mix & Match Bundlesfor Shopify (2026)
AutoScan Retail Barcode Labels and Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles, while both categorized under 'Inventory optimization' on Shopify, serve distinctly different purposes and target different types of merchants. AutoScan focuses on streamlining fulfillment and inventory management through barcode generation, label printing, and SKU automation. It aims to reduce errors in packing and shipping, especially valuable for merchants dealing with a high volume of physical products. Bundly, on the other hand, is designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV) by enabling merchants to create and sell product bundles like mix-and-match options or customizable gift boxes. The core difference lies in their functionalities: AutoScan is operational, dealing with backend inventory processes, while Bundly is sales-oriented, directly influencing customer purchasing behavior and front-end product presentation. While AutoScan boasts features like automatic barcode and SKU generation, and direct label printing support for various printer brands, Bundly emphasizes features like the mix & match bundle builder, bundle-specific analytics, and seamless integration with existing themes without needing discount codes. The number of reviews also indicate Bundly is a more established app, but it's also for merchants with a specific sales focus.

Our Verdict
If your priority is optimizing your warehouse operations and reducing errors in picking and packing physical products, AutoScan Retail Barcode Labels is the clear choice. Its barcode and SKU generation, coupled with label printing features, streamline the fulfillment process. However, if your goal is to increase your average order value by offering compelling product bundles and customizable options, Bundly • Mix & Match Bundles is the superior option. Its focus on creating attractive bundle deals and providing analytics specifically related to bundle performance makes it a more effective tool for driving sales and increasing AOV. Merchants focused on digital products or services will find Bundly less relevant.
