Auto Blog by Afily vs Essential AI SEO: AI Blog Postfor Shopify (2026)
Auto Blog by Afily and Essential AI SEO: AI Blog Post are both Shopify apps aimed at automating blog content creation for SEO purposes. However, they cater to slightly different merchant needs and offer varying levels of social proof. Auto Blog focuses on linking blog posts directly to product collections, streamlining the connection between content and product discovery, and boasts a "no-code" user interface. Its value proposition centers on simplicity and ease of setup, targeting merchants who want a straightforward solution to automatically populate their blog with collection-related content. Essential AI SEO, on the other hand, leverages AI (like ChatGPT) to generate SEO-optimized blog posts in multiple languages. It positions itself as an advanced AI-powered blog article creation and post editor tool. Its strength lies in its AI capabilities, bulk generation features, and multi-language support, making it suitable for merchants seeking a more sophisticated and scalable solution with AI driven SEO. The significant difference in the number of reviews indicates a larger user base and potentially more established reputation for Essential AI SEO, despite both having a 5/5 rating.

Our Verdict
If a merchant prioritizes ease of use and wants a simple solution to generate blog content directly linked to their product collections without complex configuration, Auto Blog by Afily is a reasonable choice, assuming the lack of reviews isn't a concern. However, due to the limited social proof, proceeding with caution and a thorough evaluation is advised.
For merchants seeking more advanced features, SEO optimization powered by AI, multi-language support, and the ability to generate blogs in bulk, Essential AI SEO: AI Blog Post is the better option. The significant number of positive reviews provides more confidence in its capabilities and reliability, making it the recommended choice for those comfortable with potentially a steeper learning curve but more AI sophistication.
