Atomic Returns vs SupaEasy: AI Functions creatorfor Shopify (2026)
Atomic Returns and SupaEasy: AI Functions creator both aim to enhance Shopify merchants' workflows, but they target distinct areas and use fundamentally different approaches. Atomic Returns focuses on optimizing return policies by offering granular control over return rules, automation, and reporting, positioning itself as a cost-saving tool for merchants struggling with expensive, one-size-fits-all return processes. SupaEasy, on the other hand, tackles the upcoming deprecation of Shopify Scripts by providing an AI-powered function generator for discounts, shipping, payment, and validation, making it particularly attractive to Shopify Plus users and merchants needing advanced checkout customizations. The primary difference lies in their core functionality. Atomic Returns is a specialized app designed to refine the returns process, allowing merchants to create policies tailored to specific product groups, customer segments, and situations. SupaEasy is a broader tool aimed at simplifying the creation and migration of Shopify Functions, especially for those who previously relied on Shopify Scripts. Both apps have perfect 5/5 ratings, but SupaEasy boasts significantly more reviews, suggesting wider adoption and potentially a longer track record within the Shopify ecosystem.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with high return costs and seeking greater control over their return policies, Atomic Returns is the clear choice. Its focus on granular control, automation, and reporting provides the tools needed to optimize the returns process and improve profitability. However, if the primary need is to migrate from Shopify Scripts or to implement advanced checkout customizations without extensive coding knowledge, SupaEasy: AI Functions creator is the better option. Its AI-powered function generator and script migration capabilities simplify the process and offer greater control over the checkout experience, particularly for Shopify Plus users.
While both apps offer workflow automation, their areas of focus are distinct. A merchant shouldn't select Atomic Returns for the purpose of generating discount codes or modifying shipping rates. Conversely, selecting SupaEasy to better manage return policies would not be the right choice either. It comes down to the merchant's specific business pain points.
