Our Verdict
While both apps have potential, GoodAPI Plant Tree Clean Ocean is currently the stronger choice for most Shopify merchants due to its established presence (indicated by the significantly higher review count), broader sustainability focus (including both tree planting and ocean plastic removal), and specific mention of storytelling badges that can enhance customer engagement. Arbor Day Foundation is a viable alternative if a merchant is solely focused on reforestation and desires a direct connection to a well-known organization. However, the limited reviews and lack of specific marketing features beyond highlighting impact may make it a less attractive option for merchants seeking a robust sustainability solution. For merchants prioritizing a comprehensive sustainability narrative and demonstrable social proof, GoodAPI is the clear winner.
