Appointment Booking App Propel vs EDP ‑ Easy Digital Productsfor Shopify (2026)
Appointment Booking App Propel and EDP ‑ Easy Digital Products target fundamentally different merchant needs on Shopify. Propel focuses on enabling merchants to offer and manage appointment-based services, classes, and events. Its strength lies in its robust scheduling features, integrations with popular calendar and communication tools, and focus on reducing no-shows through reminders and deposit options. It is designed for businesses offering services such as consultations, workshops, or courses, directly addressing the need for online booking management. EDP ‑ Easy Digital Products, on the other hand, is solely classified within the 'Digital Products' category. While no specific features are provided, this implies EDP caters to merchants selling downloadable products such as ebooks, software, or music. Therefore, EDP's value proposition lies in streamlining the process of selling and delivering these digital assets, rather than scheduling or appointment management. A crucial distinction is that it does not have booking functionalities, making it unsuitable for merchants offering services or classes. While both apps boast high ratings, their functionalities cater to entirely different business models.

Our Verdict
The choice between Appointment Booking App Propel and EDP ‑ Easy Digital Products is clear-cut and depends entirely on your business model. If you're offering services, classes, or events that require scheduling, Propel is the obvious choice. Its robust booking features, integrations, and focus on minimizing no-shows make it an ideal solution. EDP would be completely unsuitable for booking appointments.
Conversely, if you're primarily selling downloadable digital products, then EDP is designed for your needs. Although the provided data lacks specific details about EDP, its categorization strongly suggests it focuses on secure and efficient delivery of digital assets. Propel would offer no benefit to a digital product seller.
