Our Verdict
For merchants focusing solely on apparel and prioritizing branding, premium quality, and expert, human support, Apliiq ‑ Print On Demand is the stronger choice. Their focus on North American fulfillment with fast shipping is also a major advantage for stores primarily serving that market. Podbase: Print on Demand is better suited for merchants looking to experiment with a wider range of products beyond apparel, targeting specific customer niches with custom designs. The 24/7 live chat support and emphasis on high profit margins make it appealing to new ecommerce entrepreneurs or those looking for a more flexible and readily accessible support system. Ultimately, the best choice depends on the specific product focus and business priorities of the merchant.
Common Questions
Which app offers better customer support?
Apliiq offers human, USA-based apparel experts, while Podbase provides 24/7 live chat support. The better choice depends on the merchant's preference: personalized expert advice vs. readily available support at any time.
Which app is better for beginners?
Podbase might be slightly better for beginners due to its 24/7 live chat support and potentially higher profit margins, providing more immediate assistance and financial flexibility. However, Apliiq's fully automated system also streamlines the process, making it accessible to new users.
Which app is better for establishing a strong brand?
Apliiq is the clear winner for establishing a strong brand in the apparel space. Their "Private Label Everything" feature ensures that only the merchant's brand is visible on the products, allowing for a consistent brand experience.
Which app offers faster shipping to North America?
Apliiq advertises an average shipping time of 2 days within North America, making it a potentially faster option for customers in that region, though Podbase also promises quick delivery to the USA.
Does either app have order minimums?
Apliiq explicitly states "No Minimums," meaning merchants can order as few as one item at a time. Podbase does not mention minimums, so it's likely they also offer no-minimum ordering, but this isn't explicitly stated.
