Anycover Extended Warranty vs ESTS Shipping Insurancefor Shopify (2026)
Anycover Extended Warranty and ESTS Shipping Insurance offer distinct solutions for Shopify merchants seeking to enhance customer trust and revenue. Anycover focuses on *extended product warranties*, enabling merchants to offer customers protection against product defects or malfunctions beyond the manufacturer's warranty period. It's designed to increase revenue through warranty sales while building customer confidence in product quality. ESTS Shipping Insurance, conversely, provides *shipping insurance* to protect against loss, damage, or theft during transit. It's geared towards merchants looking to mitigate risks associated with shipping and enhance customer satisfaction by guaranteeing package arrival and condition. Anycover presents a fully-fledged, end-to-end solution with features like customizable CTAs, a dynamic pricing engine, and a 24/7 virtual claims chatbot. ESTS Shipping Insurance emphasizes seamless cart integration and admin-controlled customization. A significant difference is the established user base and positive reviews for Anycover versus the complete lack of reviews for ESTS Shipping Insurance, which indicates a lack of adoption, or it may be newly released in 2026. This could represent either an opportunity to try a fresh offering or a significant risk given the absence of social proof and demonstrated performance.

Our Verdict
For merchants selling electronics, appliances, or other durable goods where product failure is a concern, Anycover Extended Warranty is likely the superior choice, assuming their products have a reasonable defect rate. The existing positive reviews and established features (chatbot, insurer backing) provide a level of confidence and maturity absent in ESTS Shipping Insurance. Merchants who need to insure *shipping* rather than products will prefer ESTS Shipping Insurance, provided they are willing to accept the risk of an unproven app. Anycover and ESTS solve separate problems. If a merchant ships fragile goods or has high shipping costs, it may make sense to install *both* apps if they can afford it.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing revenue?
Anycover Extended Warranty directly increases revenue through the sale of extended warranties. While ESTS Shipping Insurance might indirectly increase sales by boosting customer confidence, its primary function is risk mitigation, not revenue generation.
Is one app easier to install than the other?
Both apps claim seamless Shopify integration. However, Anycover specifies 'minimal tech integration support,' implying a potentially simpler setup compared to ESTS Shipping Insurance. Without reviews for ESTS, it's hard to confirm this.
Which app provides better customer support?
Anycover offers 24/7 virtual claims chatbot support. ESTS Shipping Insurance does not specify customer support channels in its description. Therefore, Anycover seems to offer more robust support for its customers, handling claims directly.
Which app mitigates financial risk for the merchant?
Anycover's extended warranties are backed by top insurers, shielding the merchant from financial risk associated with product failures covered by the warranty. ESTS Shipping Insurance mitigates risks associated with shipping losses but doesn't provide the same level of financial protection against product-related costs.
Could I benefit from using both apps?
Yes, if you sell durable goods that might break down over time AND you face significant shipping risks (damage, loss, theft), you could use both. Anycover protects against product defects, while ESTS Shipping Insurance protects against shipping-related problems. They address separate customer concerns.
