AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer vs Canteen ‑ Deposits and Feesfor Shopify (2026)
AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer and Canteen ‑ Deposits and Fees, while both impacting the checkout experience, cater to drastically different needs. AMP focuses on improving the user interface of the cart itself, likely enhancing the customer journey and potentially increasing conversion rates by making it easier and more appealing to review and modify the cart before checkout. Canteen, on the other hand, addresses a very specific functional requirement: automating the complex and often regulatory-driven process of handling deposits and fees related to specific products like bottles, cans, and other refundable items. Its strength lies in streamlining compliance and accurate fee calculation. Given the stark difference in functionality, the ideal choice depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs. AMP ‑ Slide Cart Drawer targets a broad audience seeking general cart improvement and enhanced user experience. Canteen targets a niche market: merchants required to collect deposits, fees, or surcharges, especially those dealing with regulated goods or specific industry practices. The large difference in review count (489 vs. 47) suggests a broader appeal for AMP, while Canteen likely serves a smaller, more specialized customer base.
