AJ Delivery Date & Shipping vs MyGLS Professionalfor Shopify (2026)
AJ Delivery Date & Shipping and MyGLS Professional are both shipping-related apps on Shopify, but they serve fundamentally different needs. AJ Delivery Date & Shipping focuses on enhancing the customer experience through flexible delivery options like scheduled delivery, store pickup, and localized shipping methods. Its strength lies in empowering merchants to customize delivery logistics and offer customers greater control over when and how they receive their orders. It's primarily aimed at businesses, especially local ones like florists or bakeries, that need precise control over delivery scheduling. MyGLS Professional, in contrast, is designed to streamline the shipping process for merchants using GLS (General Logistics Systems), particularly in Eastern Europe. It prioritizes efficient label creation, parcel shop integration, and order tracking, catering to high-volume shippers reliant on GLS for their logistics needs. The core difference is that AJ Delivery Date & Shipping is about *what* delivery options are presented to the customer, while MyGLS Professional is about *how* you fulfill GLS-based shipments efficiently. One focuses on front-end customer-facing options, and the other on back-end shipping operations. Therefore, they may actually be complimentary for some businesses: One could use AJ Delivery Date & Shipping to let customers choose a delivery date and time, and then use MyGLS Professional to efficiently create the GLS shipping label for that order and track it.

Our Verdict
If your business needs to offer customers delivery date and time selection, store pickup, or custom local delivery options, then AJ Delivery Date & Shipping is the clear choice. It provides the flexibility to manage delivery logistics and cater to specific customer preferences. This is especially useful for businesses where delivery timing is critical. However, if you primarily ship using GLS, especially in Eastern Europe, and require efficient label creation, parcel shop integration, and automated tracking, MyGLS Professional is the superior option. It streamlines the GLS shipping process and saves time on manual tasks. It is unlikely that either is a direct replacement for the other: they solve different problems.
