AI Virtual Try‑On by EdgeCloud vs Doly : your products in 3Dfor Shopify (2026)
Both AI Virtual Try‑On by EdgeCloud and Doly : your products in 3D are new apps (as evidenced by their low review counts) aiming to enhance the online shopping experience through 3D/AR/VR technology. However, they address different aspects of the customer journey. AI Virtual Try‑On focuses on allowing customers to visualize clothing on themselves before purchase, leveraging AI to align clothing with user-uploaded photos. This targets improved customer engagement and potentially reducing returns due to fit issues. It leverages Theta EdgeCloud and is explicitly mobile-friendly. Doly, on the other hand, centers on showcasing the product itself in a highly detailed, interactive 3D format. It streamlines the creation of 3D product views through a dedicated iPhone app for scanning, aiming to offer a photorealistic experience without expensive professional photography. Doly emphasizes higher conversions through confident shopping with a 360 degree view of the product. Its target audience appears to be merchants who want to present their physical products in the most visually compelling way possible, focusing on product detail rather than personalized fit.

Our Verdict
For clothing retailers prioritizing virtual fit and personalization, AI Virtual Try‑On by EdgeCloud is likely the better choice. Its focus on AI-powered fit alignment and user-uploaded selfies addresses a specific pain point in online clothing retail. The Theta EdgeCloud integration suggests a focus on scalability and performance.
However, for merchants across various industries aiming to showcase product details in a visually stunning manner, Doly : your products in 3D offers a more compelling solution. The ability to create photorealistic 3D models without expensive studio photography, coupled with easy integration, makes it a strong contender for driving conversions through detailed product presentations. If high-quality visual representation is paramount, Doly is the preferred choice.
