Our Verdict
Given the current data, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap is the far more compelling option for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its high rating, positive reviews, and clear value proposition of improving SEO and site navigation through sitemaps make it a reliable choice. Merchants prioritizing enhanced SEO and an improved user experience for navigating their store should opt for Magical XML/HTML Sitemap.
AI Chatbot Search, on the other hand, is difficult to recommend in its current state. The extremely low rating and limited review data suggest significant issues. Until the app demonstrates substantial improvements and garners positive feedback, merchants should exercise extreme caution before considering it. If, however, a store struggles specifically with onsite search and is willing to take a gamble on a potentially underdeveloped app, this might be an option, but the risk is high.
