AfterShip Shipping + Labels vs EZLabel: Australia Post Shipfor Shopify (2026)
AfterShip Shipping + Labels and EZLabel: Australia Post Ship both address shipping label creation within Shopify. However, they cater to distinct merchant segments. AfterShip aims for a broader market by offering general shipping solutions, potentially including multiple carriers. Its rating of 3.9/5 based on 92 reviews suggests usability and satisfaction issues or a broader range of supported features that some users struggle with. This positions it as a potentially more powerful but also potentially more complex option. In contrast, EZLabel: Australia Post Ship is laser-focused on Australian merchants using Australia Post's MyPost Business service. Its perfect 5/5 rating from a significantly larger pool of 459 reviews indicates high satisfaction amongst its target audience. The key difference lies in specialization. EZLabel prioritizes ease of use with a streamlined "two-click" workflow for printing labels, fulfilling orders, and obtaining tracking information, directly tailored to Australia Post MyPost Business. This specialization allows it to boast features specifically for Australia Post, like custom packaging options, signature on delivery, and extra cover, and focus on local fulfillment needs. AfterShip, while potentially offering a wider range of carrier integrations, lacks this specific optimization for Australia Post. The review count alone favors EZLabel as the likely more adopted app for Australia Post shipping in 2026.

Our Verdict
For Australian Shopify merchants exclusively using Australia Post MyPost Business, EZLabel: Australia Post Ship is the clear winner. Its significantly higher rating and large number of positive reviews, coupled with its specialized features and streamlined workflow, make it the more efficient and user-friendly choice.
However, if a merchant requires support for multiple carriers or operates outside of Australia and Australia Post, AfterShip Shipping + Labels may be the better option. Although the lower rating and fewer reviews may indicate potential usability challenges, it could offer broader functionality that meets more complex shipping needs, if and only if those complex needs are not fulfilled efficiently by other shipping apps (including carrier native shipping apps that may integrate better than AfterShip's implementation).
