Adoric Popup & Email Popups vs Custom Pricing: Wholesale B2Bfor Shopify (2026)
Adoric Popup & Email Popups and Custom Pricing: Wholesale B2B cater to very different needs within the Shopify ecosystem, despite sharing the 'Discounts' category. Adoric focuses on front-end conversion rate optimization through popups, email collection, and upselling tactics, targeting merchants looking to increase sales and engagement with immediate, customer-facing features. In contrast, Custom Pricing: Wholesale B2B tackles back-end pricing strategies, enabling merchants to offer differentiated pricing to various customer segments, particularly wholesale, B2B, or VIP clients. It's geared towards businesses needing complex pricing structures and tiered discounts based on customer attributes or purchase volume. The core distinction lies in their applications. Adoric enhances the customer journey with interactive elements designed to capture attention and drive immediate purchases. Its strength lies in its ease of use and pre-built templates, aiming to quickly implement strategies like exit-intent popups or cart upsells. Custom Pricing, however, is a robust solution for merchants managing diverse customer types with varying pricing needs. It automates price adjustments based on customer behavior and spend, streamlining wholesale and B2B operations. Its strength is in its customization and automation capabilities for targeted pricing strategies.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on boosting conversion rates, growing their email list, and increasing average order value through immediate, customer-facing strategies, Adoric Popup & Email Popups is likely the better choice. Its easy-to-use interface and ready-made templates allow for quick implementation of effective popup campaigns. However, a 5/5 rating with a lower number of reviews compared to the competitor should be carefully considered.
For merchants with a significant wholesale, B2B, or VIP customer base, or those needing to implement complex, tiered pricing structures and manage different price levels for various customer segments, Custom Pricing: Wholesale B2B is the more suitable solution. Its robust customization options and automation capabilities streamline the management of diverse pricing needs, but potentially at the cost of a steeper learning curve and more involved setup process. While its rating is slightly lower, the higher number of reviews suggests a more established user base.
Common Questions
Can Adoric Popup & Email Popups handle wholesale pricing?
Adoric primarily focuses on immediate discounts and promotions delivered through popups. While it can present discounts, it doesn't offer the sophisticated customer segmentation and tiered pricing features required for comprehensive wholesale pricing management like Custom Pricing: Wholesale B2B does.
Is Custom Pricing: Wholesale B2B difficult to set up?
The app description suggests extensive customization and automation capabilities, implying a potentially more complex setup process compared to Adoric. The level of difficulty will depend on the complexity of the merchant's pricing structure and the number of customer segments they need to manage.
Which app is better for attracting new email subscribers?
Adoric Popup & Email Popups is explicitly designed for collecting emails through welcome newsletters and exit-intent popups, making it the better choice for this purpose.
Can Custom Pricing: Wholesale B2B be used for simple, store-wide discounts?
While Custom Pricing: Wholesale B2B is geared towards more complex pricing structures, it can also be used for store-wide discounts by applying a percentage or dollar amount off across the entire site. However, for simple, short-term promotions, Adoric might be a more straightforward solution.
Does Adoric offer A/B testing for popups?
The provided descriptions do not explicitly mention A/B testing, but its focus on optimization suggests that it may have that capability, or at least provide ways to analyze the performance of different pop-up configurations.
