Accessibility Way ADA WCAG EAA vs NA Age Verificationfor Shopify (2026)
Accessibility Way ADA WCAG EAA and NA Age Verification are both legal apps on the Shopify app store, but they address completely different legal compliance needs. Accessibility Way aims to make online stores accessible to users with disabilities, ensuring compliance with laws like ADA, WCAG, and Section 508. It focuses on features such as AI-powered alt text, screen reader compatibility, and customizable accessibility widgets. The small number of reviews (9) contrasts with the app's promise of comprehensive legal protection. Our Verdict
The choice between Accessibility Way ADA WCAG EAA and NA Age Verification is straightforward and depends entirely on a merchant's specific needs. If a merchant's products or content are not age-restricted, then NA Age Verification is not necessary. Conversely, if a merchant does not prioritize making their website accessible to disabled users and is not concerned about potential ADA lawsuits, then Accessibility Way is likely less important.
Merchants selling age-restricted goods (alcohol, tobacco, regulated cannabis products, etc.) should strongly consider NA Age Verification to avoid legal issues and penalties. Those concerned about website accessibility for users with disabilities should look into Accessibility Way, while noting the relatively small number of reviews when assessing reliability.
