8returns ‑ Returns portal vs Trustway: Package Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
8returns and Trustway both aim to enhance the customer experience within the returns and warranty space, but they address different aspects of it. 8returns focuses on streamlining and customizing the returns process itself, offering merchants tools to automate returns, offer exchanges and store credit, and generate return labels. Its strength lies in giving merchants greater control over the returns experience and leveraging it to boost customer loyalty. Trustway, on the other hand, focuses on protecting packages during transit, safeguarding against loss, theft, or damage. It's positioned as a package protection service that simplifies claims and reduces customer service burden related to shipping issues. While both apps have perfect ratings, 8returns has significantly more reviews (30 compared to Trustway's 1), suggesting wider adoption and potentially more real-world validation. 8returns is geared towards merchants seeking to optimize and brand their returns process for customer retention. Trustway is more suitable for merchants who want to offload the risk and customer service overhead associated with package loss, theft, or damage during shipping, ultimately aiming to improve their AOV and profit margins.
