8returns ‑ Returns portal vs ExOrders ‑ Return & Exchangefor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, both 8returns ‑ Returns portal and ExOrders ‑ Return & Exchange aim to simplify the returns process for Shopify merchants. 8returns positions itself as an all-in-one, automated returns platform focused on customer retention and brand experience. It emphasizes customization, dynamic rules, and robust analytics to reduce return rates and improve customer loyalty. ExOrders, based on limited data, appears to offer a simpler return and exchange solution, likely targeting merchants with more basic return needs. The primary difference lies in the maturity and feature set. 8returns boasts a significantly higher rating and a greater number of reviews, suggesting a more established presence and positive user experience. Its key features, such as customer retention tools (exchanges, store credit), dynamic rules, and return analytics, provide a more comprehensive solution for merchants seeking to optimize their returns process. ExOrders' description lacks this level of detail, hinting at a potentially less feature-rich offering. Thus, 8returns leans towards larger or faster-growing merchants, while ExOrders may be a fit for smaller, earlier-stage stores.

Our Verdict
For larger Shopify stores or those prioritizing customer loyalty and brand consistency, 8returns ‑ Returns portal is the stronger choice. Its robust feature set, higher rating, and established user base suggest a more reliable and effective solution. The advanced customization, dynamic rules, and analytics offer significant advantages in optimizing the returns process and reducing return rates.
However, for smaller stores or those just starting, ExOrders ‑ Return & Exchange might be sufficient, especially if they are seeking a simpler, less feature-rich solution. The limited information makes a conclusive recommendation difficult, but the lower rating and fewer reviews should be considered. If advanced features and detailed analytics are not critical, ExOrders may be a viable option, but further investigation into its capabilities is necessary.
