Subuno vs Verdivo ‑ Chargeback Managerfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, both Subuno and Verdivo - Chargeback Manager aim to reduce financial losses for Shopify merchants stemming from fraud. However, they tackle the problem from different angles. Subuno is positioned as a rules-based fraud prevention platform, focusing on proactively identifying and stopping fraudulent orders before they are fulfilled. It targets merchants who want granular control over fraud screening and the ability to customize fraud checks. It emphasizes customizable automation and integrated analytics for informed manual review. Verdivo, on the other hand, concentrates on chargeback management, automating the response process and attempting to recover lost revenue after a chargeback has already occurred. It caters to merchants looking for a hands-off approach to chargeback disputes, especially those integrated with Stripe or other major payment processors. The two apps are not mutually exclusive, and can exist at the same time. Subuno's strength lies in its preventative approach and its emphasis on customization. Its feature set allows merchants to define their own fraud rules and integrate with third-party data analytics. Verdivo's strength is its automated chargeback response system, which streamlines the dispute process and leverages integrations with payment processors. Verdivo's use of Verifi RDR and Ethoca also provides additional tools to mitigate chargebacks. Although both apps are rated 5/5, Subuno has more reviews, suggesting a longer track record or wider adoption. Choosing between the two depends on whether a merchant prioritizes proactive fraud prevention with customization or automated chargeback management.
