Common Questions
Can Report Toaster help me with tax compliance?
While Report Toaster can generate reports on sales data that *could* be used for tax purposes, it's not specifically designed for tax compliance. TaxCloud is the more suitable option for automated sales tax management.
Does TaxCloud provide any reporting features?
TaxCloud focuses primarily on sales tax filing and compliance. While it provides data for that purpose, it doesn't offer the same level of custom reporting and analytics as Report Toaster.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
TaxCloud is likely easier to set up as it automates a specific process. Report Toaster, with its custom report building, potentially requires more user configuration and understanding of data analysis.
I only sell within a single state. Do I still need TaxCloud?
Even selling within a single state, sales tax compliance can be complex. TaxCloud can still automate the filing process and ensure you are collecting and remitting the correct amounts. It depends on your comfort level with managing sales tax manually.
Can Report Toaster help me track my inventory levels?
Yes, Report Toaster supports tracking inventory history through calculated fields. This is one of its key strengths, allowing you to create detailed inventory reports and aging reports.
