Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD vs WeGetFinancing Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD and WeGetFinancing Messaging both aim to improve conversion rates by addressing payment flexibility, but they do so through fundamentally different approaches. Partialy focuses on enabling merchants to offer partial payments, deposits, and advanced Cash on Delivery (COD) options. This caters to customers who may not want to pay the full amount upfront, potentially reducing cart abandonment. Conversely, WeGetFinancing Messaging connects customers with instant credit options from multiple lenders. It displays estimated monthly payments directly on the product page, aiming to increase purchase power and attract customers who might otherwise be deterred by the total cost. The apps both target different aspects of the payment process; one focuses on internal flexible options and the other on external financing.

Our Verdict
The choice between Partialy and WeGetFinancing Messaging depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs and target audience. Partialy is a better fit for merchants who want direct control over payment options, want to manage risk associated with COD, and cater to customers who might prefer paying in installments directly to the store. It suits businesses already familiar with COD and those wanting more control. On the other hand, WeGetFinancing Messaging is more suitable for merchants selling higher-priced items, those targeting customers who might need financing to make a purchase, and those comfortable outsourcing the financing process to external lenders. Merchants who want an easier setup process may also prefer WeGetFinancing. WeGetFinancing is also good at enabling a streamlined conversion where a user can get credit instantly.
Common Questions
What happens if a customer fails to pay the remaining balance on a Partialy order?
Partialy allows merchants to manage COD and remaining balance collection. Processes would need to be in place to handle non-payment of the remaining balance. This could involve debt collection, or accepting the loss as part of the cost of doing business.
What customer information is shared with WeGetFinancing?
The description states that the PPE presents the customer with financing options, implying that customer information is shared with WeGetFinancing and its lending partners. It's important to review WeGetFinancing's privacy policy to understand data usage.
Can I use both Partialy and WeGetFinancing simultaneously?
Potentially, but it might be redundant. Offering both partial payments/COD *and* external financing could confuse customers. A careful evaluation of your customer base and pricing strategy is needed to determine if both are beneficial.
How does Partialy help reduce RTO (Return to Origin)?
By requiring an upfront payment (deposit), Partialy can reduce frivolous orders and increase customer commitment, which leads to fewer returns to the origin warehouse when the customer declines the delivery.
What are the potential drawbacks of using WeGetFinancing Messaging?
Potential drawbacks include the cost of the WeGetFinancing service, reliance on external lenders, and the potential for customers to be declined for financing, which could negatively impact the merchant's brand image. There also might be additional fees for lenders and possible compliance issues.
